demeanor and shall, upon conviction before any Justice of the
Peace for said county, be fined a sum not to exceed Fifty Dol-
lars ($50.00) for each such violation or shall be imprisoned in
the county jail for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days,
or both.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

(House Bill 835)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 75
of Article. 17 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Clerks of Courts", sub-title "Clerks of Cir-
cuit Courts", to include Baltimore City in the section rela-
tive to blank licenses to be furnished by the State Comp-
troller.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 75 of Article 17 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Clerks of Courts", sub-title
"Clerks of Circuit Courts", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

75. Before the first of May in each year, they shall apply
to the Comptroller for such number of blank licenses of every
sort as may probably be required for the use of their respective
counties and Baltimore City for one year, or the fractional
part of the year, terminating on the 30th day of April then
next ensuing.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

tions 12(h) and 12(i) of Article 72 of the Annotated Code
