SECTION 1. Be it enacted ~by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 174 and 175 of Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Alle-
gany County", sub-title "Fire Companies", as said sections
were amended by Chapter 1009 of the Acts of 1945, be and
they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
174. The County Commissioners of Allegany County are
hereby authorized, empowered and directed to pay the sum of
$13,100.00 annually .to the several volunteer fire companies
so long as said fire companies remain incorporated bodies,
for their benefit, said sum of money to be used by the respec-
tive fire companies for the purchase, repair or maintenance
of fire fighting equipment or for the repair, maintenance or
upkeep of buildings used by the respective fire companies.
175. Said payment shall be made on the first day of Sep-
tember in each and every year by the County Commissioners
of Allegany County, and it shall be distributed as follows:
To the Volunteer Fire Company of Bowman's Addition, the
Volunteer Fire Company of Clarysville, the Volunteer Fire
Company of Flintstone, the Volunteer Fire Company of Dis-
trict No. 16, the Volunteer Fire Company of Bedford Road
the Volunteer Fire Company of Baltimore Pike and the
Volunteer Fire Company of Ellerslie, the sum of $575.00
each; to the Frostburg Fire Department of Frostburg, Mary-
land, the sum of $1,175.00; to the Good Will Fire Company
of Lonaconing, Maryland, the sum of $ 975.00; to the Potomac
Fire Company No. 2 of Westernport, Maryland, the sum of
$850.00; to the Midland Fire Department, Inc., of Midland,
Maryland, the sum of $675.00; to the Mount Savage Fire
Department of Mount Savage, Maryland, the sum of $675.00;
to the Barton Fire Department of Barton, Maryland, the
sum of $675.00; to the Luke Fire Company, Inc., of Luke,
Maryland, the sum of $675.00; to the LaVale Volunteer Fire
Company, Inc., the sum of $675.00; to the Community Volun-
teer Fire Department, Inc., of Cresaptown, Maryland, the sum
of $675.00; to the Borden Shaft Volunteer Fire Company,
the sum of $575.00; to the McCoole Fire Company, the sum of
$575.00; to the Corrigansville Fire Company, the sum of $575.-
00; to Chapel Hill Hose Company No. 6 of Cumberland,
Maryland, the sum of $150.00; and to Cumberland Hose Com-
pany, No. 1, of Cumberland, Maryland, the sum of $150.00.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.
