the year 1928 and ending with the year 1946, to be re-classi-
fied, re-grouped by surname and re-indexed according to the
system now installed, so as to facilitate the examination
of said indexes and the work of making accurate entries
therein. For this purpose the said Clerk of the Circuit
Court for Montgomery County is hereby authorized to con-
tract for the work of re-classifying, re-grouping and re-index-
ing said indexes to said Land Records, and he is hereby
authorized to purchase all books, racks, shelves, supplies and
equipment necessary to accomplish said purpose, and there-
after, from time to time, to purchase the books and supplies
and equipment necessary to keep the said Land Record index
currently up to date. The total cost of such re-classification
of said Land Record indexes, and the cost of the necessary
books, racks, shelves, supplies and equipment therefor, shall
be paid out of the excess fees of the office of the Clerk of
the Circuit Court for Montgomery County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal Section 1126 of the Montgomery County
Code (1939 Edition), being Article 16 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County",
sub-title "Takoma Park", sub-heading "Justice of the
Peace", and to repeal Section 1321 of the Prince George's
County Code (1943 Edition), being Article 17 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's
County", sub-title ''Takoma Park", sub-heading "Justice
of the Peace", both relating to the appointment of a Justice
of the Peace by the Governor upon the recommendation of
the Mayor and Council of Takoma Park.

WHEREAS, the Act creating the Trial Magistrate system
has superseded the provisions of this section; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 1126 of the Montgomery County Code
(1939 Edition), being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local
