SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-sections (4) and (7) of Section 94A of Article
48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement),
title "Insurance", sub-title "Agents and Brokers", be and
they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

94A.

(4). The Insurance Commissioner may issue an insurance
adviser's license to any person who is a legal resident of this
State, or who is a non-resident licensed as an insurance
adviser in the State of his residence, hereinafter designated
as a licensee, who is trustworthy and competent to act as
an insurance adviser in such manner as not to jeopardize
the public interest and who has complied with the prere-
quisites herein prescribed.

(7). At the time of application for every such license and
for every annual renewal thereof, there shall be paid to the
Commissioner by each individual applicant a fee of one
hundred dollars, provided however, that if such applicant
is a non-resident licensed as an insurance adviser in the State
of his residence the fee for such license and renewals thereof
shall be the same as the fees payable in the applicant's State
of residence but not to exceed one hundred dollars, but such
licensed adviser shall not advise as to life, accident and
health insurance.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 845.
(House Bill 767)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 88B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "State Police", sub-
title "Pensions", said new section to be known as Section
35A and to follow immediately after Section 35 of said Ar-
ticle, creating a Board of Trustees of the Retirement and
Pension System of the Maryland State Police and trans-
ferring to said Board all the duties and powers formerly ex-
ercised by the Superintendent of State Police with respect to
such system.
