(House Bill 749)
AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 20 of Article
101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition),
title "Workmen's Compensation", sub-title ''Application of
Articles; Extra-Hazardous Employments'', as said section
was amended by Chapter 722 of the Acts of 1945 and re-
codified by Chapter 528 of 1945, said new sub-section to be
known as Sub-section (45A) and to follow immediately
after Sub-section (45) of said section, including under the
Workmen's Compensation Law certain persons employed
by owners or trainers of horses who participate in the
conduct of racing.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to
Section 20 of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition), title "Workmen's' Compensation", sub-title
"Application of Article; Extra-Hazardous Employments", as
said section was amended by Chapter 722 of the Acts of 1945
and recodified by Chapter 528 of the Acts of 1945, said new
sub-section to be known as Sub-section (45A), to follow im-
mediately after Sub-Section (45) of said section, and to read
as follows:

(45A) All persons employed by the owners or trainers
of horses who participate in the conduct of racing at any
track licensed under Article 78B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.
