2006 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 820

Provided however that within the First Precinct of the
Second Election District of Anne Arundel County it shall be
lawful by and with the approval of the Board of License
Commissioners for Anne Arundel County to transfer a license
permitting the sale of alcoholic beverages from the premises
designated in the said license to other premises within the
1,000 feet limitation set forth in Section 47 notwithstanding
anything to the contrary contained in Section 47 or in Sub-
section (a) thereof, and provided further that whenever such
a transfer from licensed premises to other premises is author-
ized that no new license shall be issued for the sale of alco-
holic beverages on the premises from which the license was
transferred, notwithstanding anything to the contrary con-
tained in Section 47 or in Sub-section (a) thereof.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 826.
(House Bill 715)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
24 of Article 30 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title ''Pish and Fisheries", sub-title ''General
Provisions", to require riparian owners in Cecil County
to give notice of their intent to seine fish.

SECTION 1. He it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 24 of Article 39 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (193!) Edition), title "Fish and Fisheries", sub-
title "General Provisions", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

24. (Riparian Rights.) The owner of any land bordering
on any tidal waters of the tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay,
except the waters of the Great Choptank River, lying in the
State of Maryland, or anyone who is a tenant, renter or
lessee of such owner, shall by virtue of such ownership or
occupancy be first entitled to make a choice of the set or
position to place nets or establish a haul seine fishery in
front of the property of which he or she is the owner, tenant,
renter or lessee of the riparian rights therein, for the purpose
of catching fish for commercial use; provided that if such
