section with the southwest corner of the Chevy Chase Club
property, thence in an easterly and northerly direction along
the outlines of said Chevy Chase Club property to its point
of intersection with the south side of said Bradley Lane and
the west side of said Connecticut Avenue, thence in a northerly
direction with the west side of said Connecticut Avenue to the
place of beginning.

78. The Board of County Commissioners of Montgomery
County is authorized, empowered and directed, upon the re-
quest of a majority of those registered and qualified voters
residing within said described area attending a meeting of
such, which shall be held on the third Monday of April each
year at 8 o'clock P. M., at the Library in said Chevy Chase
Village, or such place as may be designated after reasonable
notice; at least twenty-five such voters shall constitute a
quorum for the purposes hereunder, to levy and cause to be
collected from the property owners at the time of the county
tax levy for the year and each succeeding year within said
described area of Chevy Chase as named or created by this Act,
amounts to be fixed by them not less than twenty (20) cents
nor more than fifty (50) cents on each one hundred dollars
($100.00) worth of the assessable property in the said part
of the Village of Chevy Chase, Montgomery County, to be
collected as all other county taxes in said county are collected;
to be paid over by said Board of County Commissioners to
the Treasurer of Chevy Chase Village, to be selected from
among said Chevy Chase Village Board of Managers by a
majority of the members of the Board of Managers elected
as hereinafter provided, or by their successors to be selected
as herein provided. Upon said Treasurer having been duly
selected by said Board of Managers and giving bond to said
Board of County Commissioners, to be approved by the Judge
of the Circuit Court of Montgomery County in a penal sum
to be fixed by said Judge, conditioned upon the faithful dis-
charge of the duties of the said Treasurer, the said Board of
County Commissioners shall also order and have paid over to
said Treasurer the proportion of the county road tax to be
levied and collected in the same manner as is done with other
incorporated towns and villages; and said proportion of the
county road tax received by the Treasurer of Chevy Chase
shall be used by said Board of Managers exclusively for
opening, maintaining and repairing the county roads, streets
and lanes that may have been dedicated to the public or to
Montgomery County and whether accepted by said county or
not; all other funds to be used by said Board of Managers
directly or through said Board of Managers exclusively for
opening, maintaining, repairing and lighting the streets, roads,
