shall have the same priority of lien, and shall be levied and
collected in the same manner as other town taxes are levied
and collected, and the payment thereof shall be enforced in
the same manner as payment of other town taxes is enforced.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
become effective June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 808.
(House Bill 648)

AN ACT to add 5 new sections to the Code of Prince George's
County (1943 Edition), being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "Fire Companies", said new sections
to be known as Sections 605A-605E, inclusive, and to fol-
low immediately after Section 605 of said Article, relating
to the levy of a special fire tax in certain election districts
of Prince George's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That 5 new sections be and they are hereby added to
the Code of Prince George's County (1943 Edition), being
Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Fire Companies",
said new sections to be known as Sections 605A-605E, inclu-
sive, and to follow immediately after Section 605 of said
Article, and all to read as follows:

605A. (a) The provisions of this section shall apply to and
be effective in the following election districts of Prince
George's County: 6th, 12th, 18th, and 20th.

(b) The County Commissioners of Prince George's County
are hereby authorized and directed to levy for the year 1949
and annually thereafter a fire tax of ten cents on every One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of the assessed value of all real
and personal property located in each of said election dis-
tricts.

(c) The said fire tax shall be levied and collected in the
same manner as other State and County taxes are now levied
and collected.
