may make arrests and serve warrants and other legal process
within and one mile beyond the corporate limits of the town,
and they are hereby vested with the same power and authority
now possessed by other police officers under the law of this
State. The Bailiff or under-bailiffs shall be paid for executing
and serving process for any violation of any ordinance of the
Commissioners, and shall be allowed the same fees as are
allowed other police officers for service of warrants and other
processes, and said fees shall be taxed as part of the costs of
any civil or criminal case out of which such warrants or legal
process shall issue. The said Commissioners may allow the
Bailiff or under-bailiffs such other compensation as they may
deem right and proper.

94F. (Clerk—Appointment, Duties and Compensation of.)
Should the Commissioners deem that the best interests of the
town require it, they shall have the power by ordinance to
create the office of Clerk and may assign to the Clerk such
duties now assigned to the Bailiff (except the duty to pre-
serve the peace) as they may think fit, as well as such other
duties as they may from time to time assign him. The said
Commissioners may allow the said Clerk such compensation
as they may deem right and proper.

94G. (Bailiff and Clerk—Bond.) The Bailiff, under-bailiffs
and Clerk, before entering upon their duties, shall give to the
Commissioners such bond as shall be required for the faithful
performance of their duties hereunder, and said bond, if re-
quired, shall be recorded among the records of the town.

94H. (Oath of Town Officials.) The Commissioners, Clerk,
Bailiff and under-bailiffs before entering upon the duties of
their offices shall take an oath that they will diligently and
faithfully to the best of their judgment and ability, discharge
the duty of their office, without favor, partiality or prejudice
and to support the Constitution of tive United States and of
the State of Maryland.

94-I. (Powers.) The Commissioners shall and are hereby
granted authority to exercise all power relating to municipal
affairs and to pass ordinances and take measures for the wel-
fare, health, safety and improvement of the Town, and to exer-
cise the Police power of the Town. No enumeration of powers
in this or any law shall be deemed to restrict the general grant
of authority hereby conveyed, unless expressly so stated in
such law. The following shall be deemed a part of the power
conveyed upon the Commissioners in this section.
