242B. (a) A copy of all acts, ordinances and resolutions
adopted or passed by the County Commissioners, certified by
the President of the Board of County Commissioners and
attested by the Clerk to said Board, shall be filed with the
Clerk of the Court of said County, who shall record and index
the same without charge in a volume to be provided for the
purpose by the County Commissioners.

(b) No Act, ordinance or resolution shall become effective
until a copy thereof shall have been filed with the Clerk of
the Court of the County. Any Act, ordinance or resolution
filed as herein required, shall be admissible as evidence in any
court proceeding upon certification by the said Clerk of the
Court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That any public local
law contained in Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland and the amendments thereto, and any public
local law of Anne Arundel County, inconsistent with the pro-
visions of this Act, be and the same are hereby repealed to
the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 791.
(House Bill 578)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
203 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
County (1943 Edition—being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "Cheverly", to authorize the Mayor and
Town Council of Cheverly to borrow money on the credit
of the town for the construction of roadways, alleys, curbs,
sidewalks, gutters and storm sewers, or for the recon-
struction of existing roadways, alleys, curbs, sidewalks,
gutters and storm sewers, and to assess the cost of said
construction or reconstruction against the abutting prop-
erty owners, making such assessment a lien upon the
property, and to provide for a referendum thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 203 of the Code of Public Laws of Prince
