upon Associations, hereafter collected. Such fines, penalties
and over-payments shall be collected by the Clerk of the
Course and shall be paid to the said Relief Fund within ten
days after the close of each race meeting. The monies in
the said fund shall be used, in the discretion of the Maryland
Racing Commission, to aid stable attendants and other race
track personnel who become ill or who are injured in the
performance of their duties on any of the several race tracks
in Maryland. A burial allowance not to exceed $100.00 in
each case, may be paid to defray the cost of, or part of the
cost of, the burial expenses of each stable attendant or other
personnel connected with the race tracks of Maryland who
shall be in need of such assistance. The Secretary of the
Maryland Racing Commission shall investigate all requests
for aid and report the result of his investigation to the said
Commission, but in all cases the discretion of the Racing
Commission, in the disbursement of such funds, as provided
for herein, shall be final.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal Section 730 of Article 11 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Fred-
erick County", sub-title "State's Attorney", and to enact a
new Section 730 in lieu thereof, relating to the expenses
of the State's Attorney's office.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 730 of Article 11 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick
County", sub-title "State's Attorney", be and it is hereby
repealed, and that a new Section 730 be and it is hereby
enacted in lieu thereof, to read as follows:
730. Beginning on July 1, 1947, and for each year thereafter,
the County Commissioners of Frederick County are hereby
authorized and directed to allow the State's Attorney the
expenses incurred by Mm in the conduct of his office, and
in following and trying criminal cases, and for the equip-
