Maryland shall refund to or reimburse members for any con-
tributions which have been made, or shall hereafter be made,
by them or on their behalf to such pension or retirement
fund or system, including the Teachers Retirement System
of the S'tate of Maryland, for the period of their absence while
in such military service.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Elections", sub-
title ''Registration", said Article having been revised by
Chapter 934 of the Acts of 1945, said new section to be
known as Section 19A and to follow immediately after
Section 19 of said Article, providing for a new general
registration of voters in Baltimore County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Elections", sub-title "Registration", said Article having
been revised by Chapter 934 of the Acts of 1945, said new
section to be known as Section 19A, to follow immediately
after Section 19 of said Article, and to read as follows:

19A. In Baltimore County a new general registration of
all the qualified voters of said county may, in the discretion of
the Supervisors of Elections in said county be made by the
Boards of Registry in the year 1948, such new general regis-
tration shall be made in the same manner and under the same
rules and provisions in all respects as are provided in this
Article so far as the same may be applicable and except ay
herein modified. Each Board of Registry shall sit for said
new registration at the place designated by the Board of Su-
pervisors of Elections, on Monday and Tuesday, the 5th and
6th of April, 1948, and on Monday and Tuesday, the 19th
and 20th of April, 1948, in addition to the days prescribed
by Section 15 of this Article, and shall register the names of
