shown to be due him by the certificate of the Clerk approved
by the Judges as aforesaid, provided that no more than $1,000.-
00 shall be expended in any single year for carrying out the
provisions of this Act.
(12) Before said copies shall be substituted for the original
plats as herein provided, there shall be endorsed upon each
copy a certificate of the County Engineer that it is a true and
accurate copy of the original plat of which it purports to be
a copy.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments. Section
72D of Article 17 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title
"Clerks of Courts", sub-title "Clerks of the Circuit Courts",
as said section was enacted by Chapter 1016 of the Acts of
1945, relating to the making, filing and recording of plats
for sub-divisions of land for town or villa sites, streets,
roads, lanes or alleys, and requiring the Commissioner of
the Land Office to furnish copies of such plats to the Super-
visors of Assessments and to make copies of all plats hereto-
fore filed with Clerks of Court and providing for the ex-
penses in connecting therewith.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 72D of Article 17 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, title "Clerks of Courts", sub-title "Clerks of the
Circuit Courts", as said section was enacted by Chapter 1016
of the Acts of 1945, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
72D. The Commissioners of the Land Office shall also col-
lect by photographic process, known as Micro film, all plats
in any of the Clerks Offices or any other department of city or
county where such plats would affect title to land, that have
been heretofore filed in said office before June 1, 1945, and
shall also furnish the said Clerks with a copy of such film.
There shall be a new Clerk appointed by the said Commis-
sioner of the Land Office to do or supervise this work who
