George's Counties shall be deemed to have been adopted
as aforesaid. The power is given said Commission to
change or to amend from time to time, as may be neces-
sary, any such rules and regulations, in whole or in part,
within the District in Montgomery and/or Prince George's
County, in which event, the same shall be valid and ef-
fective when recorded and published as aforesaid. The said
Commission, in addition to the remedies provided for by this
Act shall have the right to enforce said regulations and pro-
visions hereof, and to prevent infractions thereof by an appli-
cation to the Circuit Court for the County in which said en-
forcement shall be needed or said infractions occur, in equity,
for an injunction; and a breach or threatened breach or vio-
lation thereof or of said regulations shall be deemed suffi-
cient cause in itself for the issuance of such injunction when
applied for, and no further cause need be alleged or sworn;
and provided further that the Commission is hereby authorized
to exempt from the provisions hereof, such town or towns or
special taxing areas in which the Commission may determine
that the building regulations and the enforcement thereof are
adequate and equally effective as are the regulations passed
by said Commission under the provisions hereof. The Com-
mission is hereby given full power and authority to issue per-
mits for the construction, repair, erection, or remodeling of
all houses, buildings, or other structures in the Maryland-
Washington Eegional District; and no person shall construct,
repair, erect, or remodel any such structure without first ob-
taining such a permit and paying therefor the fee prescribed
by the Commission in accordance with the authority herein-
after set forth.

All rules and regulations adopted by the Commission under
the provisions of this section and commonly called "The Build-
ing Code" shall be operative in, and operate upon, the Mary-
land-Washington Regional District as the same is or shall
hereafter be constituted so that, if said District is extended
hereafter to include added territory, said Code shall be
effective therein.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.
