registration thereof and issuance of a certificate of title
for such vehicle upon the appropriate form or forms fur-
nished by the Department and every such application shall
bear the signature of the owner written with pen and ink
and said signature shall be acknowledged by the owner before
a person authorized to administer oaths and said applica-
tion shall contain:

(1) The name in full, bona fide residence and mail address
of the owner, or business address of the owner if a firm,
association or corporation.

If the owner is an individual using a trade name, the correct
name of the owner, with his address, must be furnished.

If the owner is a partnership or a joint enterprise, the
correct names and addresses of the partners or joint enter-
prisers must be furnished.

If the owner is an unincorporated association or joint stock
company, as contemplated in Section 123, of Article 23, of
the Maryland Code (1939 Edition), there shall be designated
the name and address of a resident agent, who shall be
authorized to accept service in any law suit arising out of
the operation of the motor vehicle being registered.

(2) A description of the vehicle, including insofar as the
hereinafter specified date may exist with respect to a given
vehicle, the make, model, type of body, the number of cyl-
inders, the engine number and the serial number of the
vehicle.

(3) A statement of the applicant's title to and of all liens
or encumbrances upon said vehicle and the names and ad-
dresses of all persons having any interest therein and the
nature of every such interest.

(4) Such further information as may reasonably be re-
quired by the Department to enable it to determine whether
the vehicle is lawfully entitled to registration and the owner
entitled to a certificate of title.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That in the case of
any vehicle registered prior to June 1, 1945, in the name of
an unincorporated firm, association or company, no registra-
tion shall be renewed in such name until the owner has fur-
nished the Department of Motor Vehicles with the names
and addresses of the persons who are the principal owners
of such firm, association or company, and the certificate of
title for such vehicle has been corrected to include such
names and addresses. The Department of Motor Vehicles
shall make the necessary corrections without charge.
