(1943 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-
title "Sabbath Breaking", to permit the exhibition of
Moving Pictures within, the corporate limits of the Town
of Aberdeen, Harford County, on Sundays, during cer-
tain hours, except to children unaccompanied by adult
members of their families; and providing that at the
next regular election by the voters of the Town of
Aberdeen for a Board of Town Commissioners, said
voters shall by referendum vote decide whether the
exhibition of Moving Pictures within the corporate limits
of said Town shall continue to be permitted after June
15, 1948.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted ty the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 573A of Article 27 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1943 Edition), title "Crimes and Punish-
ment", sub-title "Sabbath Breaking", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted to read as follows:

573A. Nothing contained in Section 560 of this Article
shall be construed to prohibit or make unlawful the exhi-
bition of Motion Pictures within the limits of the incor-
porated Town of Aberdeen, Harford County, after the hour
of 1 P. M. on the first day of the week, commonly called
"Sunday", whether the same be exhibited with or without
a charge or admission fee; provided, however, that it shall
be unlawful for any person or persons to permit any child
twelve years of age or younger, to attend the exhibition of
Motion Pictures within said areas, at any time on Sundays,
unless accompanied by an adult member of the family; and
it shall be unlawful for any person or persons to exhibit
Motion Pictures in said areas before 1 o'clock P. M. on Sun-
days. The work or employment of any operator, ticket sell-
er, or other employee, or attendant, in connection with such
exhibition, shall not be unlawful because performed on
Sunday, within the limits and boundaries of said incor-
porated Town and City, of Harford County.

SEC. 2. And, be it further enacted, That at the next reg-
ular election in May, 1948, in said Town for the election
of Town Commissioners, that the Commissioners of Aber-
deen shall also print on the ballot for said election the
following: "Shall Motion Pictures be exhibited in the Town
of Aberdeen on Sundays?" after which shall be printed
on separate lines in a square or box to the right and oppo-
site, the words: "For Sunday Motion Pictures", and a cor-
responding square or box to the right and opposite, the
words: "Against Sunday Motion Pictures"; the same to
