each be paid the actual expenses incident to the operation
of their automobiles in the performance of their duties
as may be approved by the Board of County Commis-
sioners. Each Custodian shall take the constitutional oath
of office, which shall be filed with the Board of Super-
visors of Elections.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or
parts of Acts, whether Public General or Public Local, in-
consistent with the provisions of this Act, be and they are
hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendements, Sec-
tion 225 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County",
sub-title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-heading "County
Treasurer", as said section was amended by Chapter 562
of the Acts of 1943. relating to the compensation of the
Deputy County Treasurer.
SECTIONl. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland.
That Section 225 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico
County", sub-title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-heading
"County Treasurer", as said section was amended by Chap-
ter 562 of the Acts of 1943, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
225. The Treasurer shall appoint a deputy, who shall
perform such duties as said Treasurer shall require and
for whose official conduct said Treasurer shall be respons-
ible and who in the absence of the Treasurer shall act in
his place. Said deputy shall receive a salary Two Thou-
sand Four Hundred ($2,400) Dollars per annum, payable
by the County Commissioners of Wicomico County in
monthly installments for every year he or she may serve
as such deputy, or pro rata for a part thereof.
