levy a tax upon the assessable property of said County
sufficient to pay the annual interest on said notes and/or
bonds and to redeem said notes and/or bonds as they
become due until all of said notes and/or bonds shall
mature and be redeemed. The taxes so levied shall be
collected in the same manner as other taxes are levied and
collected in said county.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 675.
(Senate Bill 443)

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 33 of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Elec-
tions", as said Article was revised by Chapter 934 of the
Acts of 1945 of the General Assembly of Maryland, said
new Section to be known as Section 80A and to follow
immediately after Section 80 of said Article 33, to pro-
vide for the use of voting machines in Allegany County
in the next primary and general election to be held in
1948 and in all elections held thereafter in said County,
and to repeal all laws or parts of laws inconsistent there-
with, and authorizing use of said machines in municipal
elections under certain conditions and providing for
Custodians for said voting machines.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Elections", as said Article was revised by Chapter 934
of the Acts of 1945 of the General Assembly of Maryland,
said new Section to be known as Section 80A, to follow
immediately after Section 80 of said Article 33, and to read
as follows:

80A. In the next primary and general election to be
held in 1948 and thereafter in all elections in Allegany
County, the use of voting machines shall be mandatory,
and it shall be the duty of the Board of Supervisors of
Elections of Allegany County to provide a sufficient num-
ber of voting machines to equip every poling place to be used in
