Commissioners of Allegany County to the Board of Su-
pervisors of Elections of Allegany County and shall be
used at once by said Board of Supervisors of Elections
for the purchase of voting machines for all of the polling
places in Allegany County to be used in the primary and
general election of 1948, or, said proceeds, or so much
thereof as may be required, shall be used at once by said
County Commissioners of Allegany County to pay the
purchase price of such voting machines purchased by the
Board of Supervisors of Elections of Allegany County.
Any balance remaining after the purchase of said voting
machines shall be paid to the County Treasurer of Alle-
gany County and be used for paying the interest on or
redeeming any of said bonds, certificates of indebtedness,
promissory notes or other evidences of indebtedness.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That until all of
the bonds, certificates of indebtedness, promissory notes or
other evidences of indebtedness issued under this Act have
matured and been redeemed, the County Commissioners
of Allegany County shall annually levy a tax upon the as-
sessable property of the County sufficient to pay the in-
terest on the bonds outstanding and the principal of bonds
maturing during the succeeding year.
SEC. 5. And be.it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 670.
(Senate Bill 429)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 22 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Washington County", sub-title "County Treasurer",
said new section to be known as Section 804A and to
follow immediately after Section 804 of said Article,
relating to the duties of the County Treasurer of Wash-
ington County in connection with the collection and
distribution of taxes on motor vehicles in the incor-
porated towns in said County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 22
