1628 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 662

(D) Whenever the Commission shall levy a tax, they
shall cause to be made an alphabetical list of the persons
charged therewith, and shall be assessed thereto the re-
spective sums to be collected from such persons and a
warrant to the Treasurer Commissioner to collect the same.
The Treasurer shall, within fifteen days after the re-
ceipt of such list and warrant, render to such person named
therein, an account or tax bill showing the amount due
by him, said tax bill may be either served personally upon
the taxpayer or mailed to such taxpayer at his last known
post office address. The Treasurer Commissioner shall
be collector of all taxes levied, and shall have full power
to enforce payment thereof as provided by Article 81 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, by the sale of the pro-
perty liable therefor and to convey a good title to any
such property sold by him, provided, however, that in lieu
of the remedies provided for by said Article 81, the said
Treasurer of Fruitland may sue for said taxes and interest
thereon in an action of debt against any taxpayer in de-
fault.

(E) The said Treasurer Commissioner shall make, at
each regular meeting of said Commission, a monthly writ-
ten report, which said report, shall state in itemized form
all receipts and disbursements of Town money coming
into his hands, which monthly report shall be signed and
sworn to, as being a complete and accurate report, by
said Town Treasurer before said Secretary Commissioner.

(F) That the Fruitland Commission shall examine such
monthly report of said Treasurer Commissioner and, with-
in one month after the filing of the same, the said Com-
mission, at a regular or special meeting thereof, shall, by
resolution, entered in the minute books of said Commission,
approve or disapprove of such report, such monthly report
shall be filed among the Town records, and the yea and nay
vote of each Commissioner on the resolution approving or
disapproving any such monthly report of said Treasurer
Commissioner shall be entered in the minute books
of said Commission and adoption by said Com-
mission of a resolution approving any such monthly
report of said Treasurer Commissioner shall be
considered a certificate to the citizens of the Town of
Fruitland, of each Commisioner so voting an approval of
such monthly report that, after careful examination of
the matter, he considers such monthly report to be com-
plete and accurate. Provided, that nothing contained in
this Act shall in any wise affect the liability to said Town
