thereby superseding and making necessary the above-men-
tioned sections; now therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 211 and 212 of Article 19 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St.
Mary's County," sub-title "State's Attorney," be and they
are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 655.
(Senate Bill 392)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 27 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes
and Punishments," to be under a new sub-title "Fire
Protection," said new section to be known as Section
163A and to follow immediately after Section 163 of
said Article, providing that notice as to exits be exhib-
ited on the screen at places where motion pictures are
shown.

SECTION 1. Beitenacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 27
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Crimes and Punishments," to be under a new sub-title
"Fire Protection," said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 163A, to follow immediately after Section 163 of said
Article, and to read as follows:

163A. It shall be the duty of the owner, manager, lessee
or person responsible for the operation of every motion
picture theatre to have the following notice shown on the
screen once during every complete performance:

NOTICE

For your own safety LOOK for your nearest EXIT.

In case of emergency WALK do not RUN to the EXIT.

This notice required by law.

Any person violating the provisions of this section shall
be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof
