Nothing in this section shall be construed as interfering
in any way with the right of any particular religious
denomination to join persons in marriage according to the
rules and customs of said denomination, it being the intent
of this section merely to require the issuance of the afore-
said license prior to the performance of any marriage
ceremony and to requiring a signing and return of the
aforesaid certificates by the minister or other official of
a religious body or order performing said ceremony.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

(Senate Bill 352)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
73 of Article 99 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1943 Supplement), title "Birds, Game and Inland
Water Fish,"sub-title "State Game Refuges and Hunting
Grounds", as said section 73 was amended by Chapter
730 of the Acts of 1945, to prohibit the acquisition of
additional land or water in Garrett County for hunt-
ing reserves and game refuges, except with the approval
of the County Commissioners of said County.

SECTION 1. Belt enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 73 of Article 99 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Birds, Game and In-
land Water Fish", sub-title "State Game Refuges and
Hunting Grounds", as said Section 73 was amended by
Chapter 730 of the Acts of 1945, be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as fol-
lows:

73. (Acquisition.) The Game Warden with the ap-
proval of the Commission may acquire title to or control
of lands or waters within this State suitable for protection
and propagation of game and fish or for hunting purposes
to be used as hereinafter provided by purchase, lease, gift,
or condemnation in accordance with the provisions of
Article 33A of the Annotated Code of Maryland to be
known as State Game Lands, provided, however, that on
