CHAPTER 635.

(Senate Bill 282)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 9 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Charles County", sub-title "Roads and Bridges", to be
known as Section 240A and to follow immediately after
Section 240 of said Article, providing for all school roads
to be part of the County road system.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 9
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Charles County", sub-title "Roads and
Bridges", to be known as Section 240A, to follow imme-
diately after Section 240 of said Article, and to read as fol-
lows:

240A. The Board of Road Commissioners of Charles
County are hereby authorized to repair, construct and
maintain the approaches, entrances and roadways leading
to any school in said County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

Approved April 25, 1947.

CHAPTER 636.
(Senate Bill 284)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
37A of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys
in Fact", sub-title "State's Attorney", as said Section
was added by Chapter 791 of the Acts of 1945, increas-
ing the compensation of the State's Attorney of Charles
County, providing for secretarial services for the State's
Attorneys of Charles and Dorchester Counties, provid-
ing for secretarial and other expenses of the State's
Attorneys of Wicomico and Worcester Counties, the
necessary traveling expenses of State's Attorneys when
trying cases removed to Baltimore City or to another
County, and eliminating certain provisions no longer
necessary.
