1542 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 611

City at the election held on November 5, 1946, title
"Baltimore City", sub-title "General Powers", said new
paragraph to be known as Paragraph (18A) and to
follow immediately after Paragraph (18) of said sec-
tion, authorizing the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more to acquire property and establish, construct, erect,
alter, expand, enlarge, improve, equip, repair, maintain,
operate, control and regulate buildings, structures and
other facilities thereon, thereunder or therein or on,
under or in any property now or hereafter owned or
controlled by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
for storing, parking and servicing self-propelled vehicles,
provided no petroleum products shall be sold or offered
for sale at any entrance to, or exit from, any land so
acquired or at any entrance to, or exit from, any struc-
ture erected thereon, when any entrance to, or exit from,
any such land or structure faces a street or highway
which is more than 25 feet wide from curb to curb,
and to establish and collect fees or charges for the use
thereof; to vest jurisdiction or authority to exercise or
perform any or all of said powers in an agency of the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore and to create
an agency for such purposes; and to dispose of said
land or property regardless of its condition or the man-
ner or means in or by which it may have been acquired
to certain parties.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new paragraph be and it is hereby added to Section
6 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land and the Baltimore City Charter adopted by the voters
of Baltimore City at the election held on November 5,
1946, title "Baltimore City", sub-title "General Powers",
said new paragraph to be known as Paragraph (18A), to
follow immediately after Paragraph (18) of said Section,
and to read as follows:

(18A). PARKING OF VEHICLES

(a) Within the City of Baltimore to acquire, by pur-
chase, lease, condemnation or any other legal means, land
and property of any kind and establish, construct, erect,
alter, expand, enlarge, improve, equip, repair, maintain,
operate, control and regulate buildings, structures and other
facilities thereon, thereunder or therein, or on, under or in
any land or property that is now or hereafter may be
owned or controlled by the Mayor and City Council of Bal-
timore, for storing, parking and servicing self-propelled
