CHAPTER 100.
(Senate Bill 42)
AN ACT to repeal Section 244 of Article '56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition) title "Licenses", sub-
title "Gasoline Tax", said section providing for refund of
One Cent (1c) per gallon of the Lateral Road Gasoline
Tax on fuel used in motor vehicles equipped with commer-
cial bodies and operated regularly and exclusively in Bal-
timore City and other municipalities as a part of the busi-
ness of persons firms or corporations.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 244 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title "Gaso-
line Tax", be and it is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the
date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
461 and 465 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1939 Edition), title "Health", sub-title "Architects",
modifying and clarifying the provisions as to the quali-
fications of architects and reducing the annual renewal
license fee.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 461 and 465 of Article 43 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Health", sub-
title "Architects", be and they are hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
461. (Applicants for Registration—Qualifications.) All
applicants for license or registration shall be of good moral
