all amendments thereof and supplements thereto.
SECTION 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and being passed upon a yea and nay vote supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 203 of Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Talbot County," sub-
title "Easton," relating to the borrowing powers of the
Mayor and Council of Easton.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 203 of Article 21 of the Code of Public Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Talbot County," sub-
title "Easton," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
203. The Mayor and Council are hereby authorized
and empowered to borrow, on the faith and credit of the
town, and for the use of the town, any sum or sums of
money not exceeding in the aggregate one hundred and fifty
thousand ($150,000.00) dollars, and may issue bonds or
other evidence of indebtedness for the same, and in such
sums and payable at such time as they may by ordinance
prescribe; provided, that the payment of said bonds or
other evidences of indebtedness issued under the authority
of this section and the interest thereon must be made by
the Mayor and Council from the general taxes levied for
the use of the town under the power of this Act conferred,
the levying or collecting any special tax for the payment
of such bonds or other evidences of indebtedness being
expressly prohibited.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That any and all
other laws or parts of laws inconsistent with the provisions
