lected the sum of 3c per $100.00 of the value of such prop-
erty, which sum of money the said County Commissioners
shall distribute and pay to the several volunteer fire com-
panies in said county for the support, maintenance, equip-
ment (including ambulances) and operation of said volun-
teer fire companies; and that said sum of money shall be
proportioned and distributed among said volunteer fire
companies upon the recommendation of the executive com-
mittee of the Carroll County Volunteer Firemen's Asso-
ciation.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 574.
(Senate Bill 387)

AN ACT" to repeal Sections 394-397, inclusive, of Article
23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Wicomico County", sub-title State's
Attorney", Section 395 having been amended by Chapter
470 of the Acts of 1937, relating to the compensation of the
State's Attorney of Wicomico County.

WHEREAS, Chapter 791 of the Acts; of 1945 prescribes
the salaries of the State's Attorneys for the several coun-
ties, thereby superseding and making unnecessary the above-
mentioned sections; now therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 394—397, inclusive, of Article 23 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Wicomico County", sub-title "State's Attorney", Section
395 having been amended by Chapter 470 of the Acts of
1937, be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1,1947.
