of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "City of Cumberland", sub-title "Police and
Fire", said new section to be known as Section 36LL, and
to follow immediately after Section 36L of said Article,
as said section was enacted by Chapter 436 of the Acts of
1943 and renumbered by Chapter 756 of the Acts of 1945,
to read as follows:

36LL. (a) Every person under the Classified City
Service shall be entitled to a vacation of fifteen (15) days,
with pay, after one year of service.

(b) Every person under the Classified City Service
shall be allowed leave of absence on account of sickness
with pay, up to fifteen (15) days in any one year, with
the right to accumulate unused sick leave from year to
year, up to sixty (60) days and to use the same for sick
leave at any time.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 573.
(Senate Bill 385)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
43 of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-title
"County Commissioners", as said Section was amended
by Chapter 165 of the Acts of 1941, relating to the money
to be levied by the County Commissioners of Carroll
County for volunteer fire companies.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 43 of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", as said Section was
amended by Chapter 165 of the Acts of 1941, be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

43. The County Commissioners of Carroll County shall
annually levy and collect from the assessable property in
Carroll County, as other county taxes are levied and col-
