SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 546.
(Senate Bill 312)

AN ACT to add a new section to Chapter 102 of the Acts
of 1864 incorporating "The Trustees of the Samuel
Ready School for Female Orphans", as said Chapter
102 was amended by Chapter 135 of the Acts of 1894,
said new section to be known as Section 2A and to follow
immediately after Section 2 of said Chapter 102, en-
larging the powers of said corporation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Chapter
102 of the Acts of 1864 incorporating "The Trustees of
the Samuel Ready School for Female Orphans", as said
Chapter 102 was amended by Chapter 135 of the Acts of
1894, said new section to be known as Section 2A, to
follow immediately after Section 2 of said Chapter 102,
and to read as follows:

2A. The object and design of said Corporation as
set forth in Section 1 hereof shall be extended and enlarged
to include the use of the corporate facilities for the main-
tenance and education of female children of any age, and
the Trustees are authorized in their discretion to make
such charges as they may deem advisable for the same,
to the end that some of the students may pay the full
rates of education and maintenance, some may pay part
rates for the same, and some receive the same at no charge
whatever.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.
