CHAPTER 527.
(Senate Bill 273)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 10 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Dorchester County", sub-title "County Commissioners
and Treasurer", sub-heading "Board of Estimates", said
new section to be known as Section 150A and to follow
immediately after Section 150 of said Article, as said
sub-heading was amended by Chapter 630 of the Acts
of 1943, authorizing the Board of County Commission-
ers of Dorchester County to fix the salaries of certain
officers and employees of said County and to determine
the amount to be allowed for the expenses of the several
departments and offices of said County.
SECTiONl. Beitenacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 10
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Dorchester County", sub-title "County
Commissioners and Treasurer", sub-heading "Board of
Estimates", said new section to be known as Section 150A,
to follow immediately after Section 150 of said Article,
as said sub-heading was amended by Chapter 630 of the
Acts of 1943, and to read as follows:
150A. The Board of County Commissioners of Dor-
chester County is hereby authorized and empowered to fix
and prescribe the salary or compensation of all appointed
officers and employees of the county whose salaries or
compensation are provided for in the annual levy and
budget of said county unless fixed by Public General Laws.
The said County Commissioners shall also have the power
to prescribe and provide for the traveling and other ex-
penses of the State's Attorney, Sheriff and all other elected
and appointed officers and employees of the county in-
curred in the performance of their duties and the amount
to be allowed for the cost of food, supplies and other ex-
penses of the several offices and departments of the county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Public Local
Laws inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this
Act are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict or
inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.
