continuing one and shall not be construed as having been
exhausted by the partial or total exercise thereof at any
one time, provided, however, that at no time shall there be
outstanding hereunder bonds of the Town exceeding in
par amount the maximum of Fifty Thousand Dollars pre-
scribed hereby.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety, and having been passed upon a yea and nay vote,
supported by three-fifths (3/5) of all the members elected
to each of the two houses of the General Assembly, the
same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to authorize the Board of Education of Dor-
chester County to borrow, from time to time, a sum of
money not to exceed Seventy-five Thousand Dollars
($75,000.00) to be outstanding at any one time, for
the purpose of providing for the payment of the cur-
rent expenses of the public schools of Dorchester
County, to be paid out of funds levied, appropriated
and paid to the Board of Education of Dorchester
County by the County Commissioners of Dorchester
County and/or the State of Maryland.
SECTIONl. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Board of Education of Dorchester County be
and it is hereby authorized and empowered to borrow,
from time to time, a sum of money, not to exceed Seventy-
five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00), to be outstanding at
any one time, for the purpose of providing for the pay-
ment of the current expenses of the public schools of
Dorchester County until such time as funds are levied,
appropriated and paid to the Board of Education of Dor-
chester County by the County Commissioners of Dorches-
ter County, and/or the State of Maryland, for school
purposes, and to issue as evidence of said indebtedness
the note or notes of the Board of Education of Dorchester
County, said note or notes to be signed by the President
of said Board, to be countersigned by the Treasurer there-
