Bailiffs in Carroll, Montgomery, Talbot and Wicomico
Counties shall each receive such compensation as the
County Commissioners of said counties shall determine.

(b) Every court crier attending the Circuit Courts
in the counties in this State shall be entitled to the com-
pensation hereinafter prescribed for each day he shall
attend said court, except as otherwise herein provided.

Criers in Charles County shall each receive four dollars
($4.00) per day.

Criers in Allegany, Caroline, Dorchester, Howard, Kent,
Prince George's, Washington and Worcester Counties shall
each receive five dollars ($5.00) per day.

Criers in Anne Arundel County shall each receive sev-
enty-five dollars ($75.00) per month.

Criers in Baltimore and Frederick Counties shall each
receive such compensation as the court of said counties
shall determine.

Criers in Calvert County shall each receive one hundred
and twenty-five dollars ($125.00) per year.

Criers in St. Mary's County shall each receive one hun-
dred and twenty-five dollars ($125.00) per year.

Criers in Carroll, Cecil, Montgomery, Talbot and Wi-
comico Counties shall each receive such compensation as
the County Commissioners of said counties shall determine.

Criers in Garrett, Queen Anne's and Somerset Coun-
ties shall each receive such compensation as the County
Commissioners shall prescribe but not exceeding five dol-
lars ($5.00) per day.

The several bailiffs and criers shall perform such duties
as may be prescribed by the several laws of the State ana
by the local laws of their respective counties.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all public gen-
eral and public local laws inconsistent with the provisions
of this Act, be and they are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.
