The following appropriations are made from
the General Funds of the State:

State Departments, Boards, and Commissions in
Baltimore City subject to the control of Board
of Public Works and upon the recommendation
of the Director of the Department of Budget
and Procurement as provided by Chapter 64 of

The amount of $155,000.00 each year includes ap-
propriations to the State Department of Health
in the amount of $14,500.00, and to the State
Department of Public Welfare in the amount of
$17,500.00 for each of the fiscal years 1948 and
1949.

The following appropriations are made from the General Funds of the State:

1 GENERAL EMERGENCY FUND: To the Board of Public Works to be used by said
Board in supplementing appropriations made in the Budgets for the fiscal years
1948 and 1949 where it is found that the regular appropriations are insufficient
for the operating expenses of the Government beyond those which were con-
templated at the time of the appropriation of the Budgets for these fiscal years,
or for any other contingencies which might arise during the two fiscal years
for which adequate provision has not been made in this Budget. For the fiscal
year 1948—$500,000.00; for the fiscal year 1949—$500,000.00.
