1044 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 512

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 441 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edi-
tion) , title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Criminal Court of
Baltimore", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 512.
(Senate Bill 199)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
409 of Article 7 of. the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-
title "Taneytown", providing certain rules regulating
the judges of elections.

SECTION 1. Belt enacted "by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 409 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-title
"Taneytown", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

409 of Article 7. The judges of all elections for officers
held under this sub-title of this Article, before holding any
election, shall each swear or affirm before a Justice of the
Peace or a Notary Public of and for said Carroll County
that he will fairly and impartially act as judge of said elec-
tion, and said Judges of Election shall keep the polls open
from twelve o'clock noon until six o'clock P. M., of the day
of the election, and shall in the presence of such persons
as may desire to witness the same, without crowding the
judges in the performance of their count, immediately
thereafter count the ballots, announce the result, and make
and sign a written certificate thereof, which they shall
forthwith deliver to the Clerk of said municipal cor-
poration.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or
parts of laws inconsistent with or repugnant to the pro-
visions of this Act be and the same are hereby repealed
to the extent of such inconsistency.
