78. Jurors shall be summoned to the April and October
terms of said court. And the judges of the Circuit Court for
Caroline County shall have power and authority to pass all
such rules as shall be necessary to facilitate the transaction
of business in said court; provided, however, that such rules
shall provide for the transaction of equity business, and the
said court for equity business shall be considered to be always
open.
SEC. 2. And 'be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
18D of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County", sub-title
"Circuit Court", as said section was enacted by Chapter 209
of the Acts of 1943, relating to the compensation of the
Crier and Bailiffs of the Circuit Court for Wicomico County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 18D of Article 23 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico
County", sub-title "Circuit Court", as said section was enacted
by Chapter 209 of the Acts of 1943, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
18D. The compensation of the Crier and Bailiffs of the
Circuit Court for Wicomico County shall be at such per diem
as the County Commissioners of Wicomico County shall
determine and shall be payable by said Commissioners upon
presentation of the certificate of the Clerk of said Court
setting out the respective attendance and service of the said
Crier and Bailiffs, and the County Commissioners of Wicomico
County are required to levy in advance each year a sum of
money sufficient to pay said Crier and Bailiffs for such attend-
ance and service.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and
