Annapolis, Jan. 4,1878.
Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland:

I herewith, transmit to you a list of Executive appoint-
ments made for Charles County during the recess of the Le-
gislature.

JOHN LEE CARROLL.

June 1, 1876.— Henry H. Bowie, Justice of the Peace for
2d district vice self, who failed to qualify.

June 1, 1876.—William Dunnington, Justice of the Peace
for 3d district vice self, who failed to
qualify.

June 1, 1876.—Washington Page, Justice of the Peace for
5th district, to complete the number the
district is entitled to.

June 1, 1876.—C. C. Perry, Officer of Registration for 5th
district vice Washington Page, who failed
to qualify.

July 14, 1876.—Washington Page, Justice of the Peace for
5th district vice self, who failed to qualify.

Aug. 24, 1876, Samuel W. H. McPherson, Officer of Re-
gistration for 7th district vice self, who
failed to qualify.

On motion by Mr. Lancaster,

The aforegoing nominations were referred to the Commit-
tee on Executive Nominations.
