Mr. Lee moved to substitute

House bill to enable the Lake Chrome and Mineral Com-
pany of Baltimore County to make and enforce payments of
all calls or assessments upon its capital stock,

For the unfavorable report of the Committee, heretofore
made,

Which was determined in the negative.

So the unfavorable report of the Committee was adopted.

Mr. Sulivane submitted the following message :

BY THE SENATE,

April 1st, 1878.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received from your House the bill entitled an
Act to amend Chapter 437 of the Acts of 1874, and Chapter
405 of the Acts of 1876, relating to the catching of oysters
with scoop or dredge in the waters of Dorchester and Talbot
Counties, and respectfully ask your Honorable Body to recede
from Amendment No. 2.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

On motion by Mr. Hepbron, it was

Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee on Claims
is hereby authorized to issue his certificate to C. W. Warren,
Post Master to the Senate, for the sum of one hundred dol-
lars, for extra services rendered during the Session of this
Body.

On motion by Mr. Freeman, it was

Ordered That the thanks of the Senate be hereby tendered
to the Hon. Edward Lloyd for his courteous, dignified and
impartial performance of the duties of President, during the
dresent Session.

On motion by Mr. Ford,
