"Oysters, " and to re-enact the following in lieu thereof.
On motion by Mr. Peter,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance, to intro-
duce a bill to be entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Montgomery County, to levy a sum of money
to pay the claims of Lawrence A. Darby and Mary V. K.
Robertson, administratrix of William G. Robertson, de-
ceased for taxes erroneously paid by them.
On motion by Mr. Sulivane,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal Chap-
ter 294, entitled "Mortgages, " of the Acts of 1870, Section
2, Chapter 483, of the Act passed at January Session 1874,
entitled "Revenue and Taxes, " and Section 1, Chapter 260,
of the Act passed at January Session 1876, entitled an Act to
provide for the general assessment of property in this State,
and to enact the following in lieu thereof.
On motion by Mr. Sulivane,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to add certain
sections to Article 75, Code of Public General Laws, entitled
"Pleadings, Practice and Process, " relating to suits at law.
On motion by Mr. Hepbron,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to be entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller
to adjust and settle the accounts due by Collectors, Sheriffs,
Clerks of Courts, Registers of Wills, and other receivers of
public moneys in cases where the indebtedness accrued prior
to and including the year 1875.
On motion by Mr. Dennis,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to add a new
Section to Article 10, entitled "Attachments, " of the Code
of Public General Laws.
On motion by Mr. Bannon,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Militia to intro-
duce a bill to be entitled an Act to pay the citizens of Anne
Arundel County, called out by order of the Governor to sup-
press disorders in other parts of this State during the strikes
of 1877.
