House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 80, of Article
2, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel

County, " sub-title "County Commissioners, " as said section
was repealed and re-enacted by the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, passed at the January Session, 1874,

Chapter 485, and to re-enact said section.

Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
Bannon, Wilson and Hill,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller to
draw his warrant on the Treasurer, for a sum of money suffi-

cient to reimburse John P. Hargis, late Sheriff of Worcester
County, for the forfeiture of Robert Henry, on his recogni-
zance erroneously collected.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the payment of
the salary due the Secretary of the State Board of Health for
the year ending December 31st, 1877.

Was considered, and

On motion by Mr. McLane,
Was ordered to lie over until Friday, the 25th instant.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Safe Deposit
Company of Baltimore, Chapter 242, of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of 1864, and the several Acts amendatory
thereof, viz: The Acts of 1867, Chapter 82, of 1868, Chapter
394, and of 1876, Chapter 27, by the last of which the name
of said company was changed to the Safe Deposit and Trust
Company of Baltimore,

Being upon its second reading,
Mr. McLane submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out in the title all after the word "to" in line 1, to
the word "and" in line 3, and insert the following:

"Amend the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland of
1864, Chapter 242, entitled an Act to incorporate the Safe
Deposit Company of Baltimore. "
