Senate bill to amend Sections 1, 5 and 13, of Chapter 36,
of the Acts of 1872, entitled an Act to add a new Article to
the Code of Public General Laws,

Being upon its third reading,

Mr. Gorman (by unanimous consent) submitted the follow-
ing amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 5, line 7, after word "screwman," insert "shall
be paid two dollars a day."

Section 5, line 8, after word "received," strike out all to
end of section, and insert "one dollar and fifty cents a day."

entitled an Act to incorporate Companies to make several
turnpike roads through Baltimore County, and for other pur-
poses, authorizing the use of steam on the railway from Bal-
timore to Govenstown,

Mr. Stump submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend title by inserting after the words "an Act" and be-
fore the word "entitled" the words "being an Act passed in
1804, Chapter 51."
