REPORT.
To the Senate and House of Delegates :
GENTLEMEN :
The Committee of Conference on the disagreeing votes
on the printed bill No. 212, entitled an Act making appro-
priations for the support of the State Government, for the
fiscal year, ending September 30th, 1879, respectfully report
that after a full and free conference, they recommend that
the Senate recede from its amendment increasing the amount
for Commissions to Attorneys above the $5,000 appropriated
by the House, and from its amendment reducing the appro-
priation to the Colored House of Reformation, from $8,000
to $6,000, that in lieu of the Senate amendments increas-
ing the appropriation to the Penitentiary from $10,000
to $20,000, the sum of $15,000 be inserted. That Senate
Amendment appropriating $74,940, for work done and
materials furnished for the repairs of the State House be
modified so as to exclude the expenditure for furniture and
Architects Commission on the purchase of the same, thereby
reducing the amount to $41,696.48.
That the House concur in the Senate amendment increas-
ing the appropriation to St. Mary's Industrial School to
$10,000, and in the Senate amendment appropriating the
