The reading of the Journal was dispensed with.
On motion by Mr. Dennis, it was

Ordered, That the Comptroller furnish to the Senate, at
his earliest convenience, a statement showing the annual
sums of money paid to the St. John's College, for the past
ten years, from the Treasury of the State.

Mr. Lee, from the Committee on Inspections, reported
unfavorably

House bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed in the
year 1870, Chapter 291, entitled an Act to repeal Section
535, Article 4, Code of Public Local Laws for the City of
Baltimore, sub-title "Tobacco," and enact a substitute there-
for.

Which was adopted.
