Senate bill to amend an Act passed at the present session,
relating to the regulating, working and proper ventilation
of coal mines in Allegany and Garrett Counties, by adding
an additional section thereto.

Being upon its third reading.

Mr. Gorman (by unanimous consent,) submitted the fol-
lowing amendments:,

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 154, line 4, after word "shaft," strike out "or
pit."

Line 8, Section 15A, after word "shaft," strike out "or
pit."

Add to end of Section 15A,

"But the miners' cars used in any mine worked by a shaft
shall be measured by a sworn measurer, and the capacity of
each car shall be stamped or branded thereon.

Which were adopted.
