Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The Senate then proceeded to the consideration of the first
order of the day, being the

House bill entitled an Act to repeal sub-Sections 15, and
27, of Chapter 182, of the Acts of the General Assembly,
passed at the January Session, 1870, entitled an Act to re-
peal the Act of 1868, Chapter 414, entitled an Act to repeal
Article 63, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
Militia in the City of Baltimore.

Which was read the third time, and passed by yeas and
nays, as follows, with proposed amendments :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. President, Hepbron,
Bannon, Hill,
Combs, of St. Mary's Joyce,
Cooper, Lee,
Ford, McLane,
Franklin, Stump,
Freeman, Sulivane,
Gorman, Welfley—15.
NEGATIVE.

Garey, Newcomer—4.

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

Senate bill to repeal Chapter 439, of the Acts of 1874, re-
lating to the issuing of licenses for the sale of spirituous and
fermented liquors, so far as the same relates to Montgomery
County,

Being upon its third reading,

Mr. Gorman, by unanimous consent, submitted the follow-
ing amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 1, line 15, after "Anne Arundel," insert "Fred-
erick, Cecil and Garrett."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Chapter 214, of the
Acts of 1872, entitled an Act to authorize the appointment of
