Mr. Combs, of Allegany, from a Select Committee, re-
ported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to supplement an Act passed at
January Session, 1872, Chapter 282, entitled an Act for the
promotion and improvement of agriculture and the mechani-
cal and household arts in the State of Maryland, in so far as
the same relates to Allegany County.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Steiner, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Frederick County to issue bonds bearing interest
at the rate of 5 per cent, per annum, to raise money to pay
off the present indebtedness of said county, bearing six per
cent, interest per annum, and to levy and collect the neces-
sary taxes for the payment of such 5 per cent, bonds, and
the interest thereon.

Which was read the second time.

M. Gorman, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize Hon. Edward Ham-
mond, one of the Judges of the Circuit Court for Howard

County, to sell or exchange a sufficient number of the Mary-
land Reports belonging to the Circuit Court or Orphans'

Court for Howard County, to complete set of State Reports

belonging to the Circuit Court for the county aforesaid,

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Hill, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill to amend Section 5, of Chapter 113, of the Acts
of 1876, relating to hawks and owls, so as to exclude Mont-
gomery and Talbot Counties from the provisions of said sec-
tion.

Mr. Newcomer, from a Select Committee,reported favorably,

House bill to authorize the cession of the Cumberland
turnpike road to the Commissioners of Allegany and Wash-
ington Counties.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Freeman, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill for the better protection of game in Baltimore

County.

Which was read the second time.
