Franklin, Dennis and Humphreys.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore City to subscribe to the capital stock of
the Maryland and Delaware Ship Canal Company, or to
endorse the bonds of said Company.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

House bill to amend the Act of 1876, Chapter 113, relating
to Hawks and Owls so as to exclude Montgomery and Talbot
Counties from the provisions of said Act.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Hill, Ford and Gorman.

House bill to amend the 42d Section of Article 56, of the
Code of Public General Laws relating to traders licenses.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

House bill entitled an Act to refund taxes on Oyster House
License to William Nickerson, of Queen Anne's County,
erroneously paid to the State.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

House bill to authorize the cession of the Cumberland
Turnpike Road to the County Commissioners of Allegany and
Washington Counties.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Newcomer, Combs, of Allegany, and Welfley.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County, to issue
bonds for the purpose of funding the debt of said county,
and to pay the current expenses thereof, and to levy a tax
for the payment of the same,

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Bannon, Hill and Gorman.

House bill to authorize the refunding to the Merchants' and
Traders' Banking Association of Baltimore City a sum of
money.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.
