726 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 25,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal sub-Sections 15 and
27, of Chapter 182, of the Acts of the General Assembly,
passed at the January Session, 1870, entitled an Act to re-
peal the Act of 1868, Chapter 414, entitled an Act to repeal
Article 63, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
Militia in the City of Baltimore,

Being upon its third reading,
On motion by Mr. Bannon,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and made
the order of the day for Tuesday, the 26th instant, at 1 o'clock
P.M.

House bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to
be designated Section 23, to Article 78, of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled "Refuge House of,"

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as-
follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Combs, of St. Mary's. Lancaster,,
Cooper, Lee,
Dennis, McLane,
Ford, Steiner,

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and de-
livered

House Joint Resolutions to memorialize Congress for assis-
tance to the Maryland and Delaware Ship Canal.

Which were r»ad the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Federal Relations.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 5, of Article
64, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Mort-
gages," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact Section
