Said bill was then seat to the House of Delegates.

Senate bill entitled an Act to add additional sections, to be
numbered 221, 222, 223, 224, 225 and 226, to the Code of
Public General Laws, Article 26, entitled "Corporations,"
empowering railroad, canal, coal and Iron Companies to em-
ploy a Police Force,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Cooper, Lee,
Ford, McLane,

Mr. Bannon submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

March 25th, 1878.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We respectfully ask your Honorable Body to return to
the Senate for further consideration the House Bill enti-
tled an Act to repeal Sections 4, 6, 7 and 8, of Article 9, of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Assignment of
Choses in Action," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.
