The unfavorable report was then adopted.

The Hon. R. C. Hollyday, Secretary of State, appeared and:/
delivered a communication from the Executive, endorsed
"Executive Business."

Mr. McLane, from the Committee on Finance, reported
favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay O. P. Sparks, late Sheriff of Talbot County, for ser-
vices rendered in the enforcement of the oyster law, and to
pay certain persons therein named for their services as special
police during the trial of violators of the oyster laws at St.
Michael's, in Talbot County.

Which was read the first time.
Also, favorably,

House bill entitled an Act providing for copying and dis-
tributing the map accompanying the award of Commissioners
to settle the boundary line between the States of Maryland
and Virginia, filed the 19th day of January, 1877.

Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Howard County to pay to David Carsen, survi-
ving executor of David Hayes, a sum of money erroneously
paid by him and his co-executor for taxes of the estate of
David Hayes.

Which was read the first time.
Also, favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of John Henry
Noble, Collector of State and County taxes in Election Dis-
tricts Nos. 2 and 12, of Dorchester County, for the years
1874 and 1875, and his sureties.

Which was read the first time.
Also, favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to pay to James M. Leiter, of
Washington County, the sum of $25 overpaid by him into
the Treasury,
