amendatory of an Act passed at the present Session of the
General Assembly, entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments, Chapter 173, of the Acts of 1876, enti-
tled an Act regulating the working and proper ventilation
of coal mines in Allegany and Garrett Counties.

On motion by Mr. Lee,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal Sec-
tion 46, of Article 29, of the Code of Public General Laws
of Maryland, title "Courts," sub-title "Relief to Sheriffs
and Collectors," and to amend and re-enact the same.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to be entitled an Act to pay George E. Carter for
money erroneously paid on account of reinspection and out-
age on tobacco.

On motion by Mr. Joyce,

Leave was was granted to the Baltimore City Senators to
introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal Sections 205,
206 and 212, of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws,
relating to the City of Baltimore, sub-title ''Elections," and
re-enact the same with amendments.

Mr. Cooper, from the Committee on the Ches-ipeake Bay
and its Tributaries, reported unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments Sections 8, 9, 10, 13, 15, 25, 27 and 35, of
Chapter 181, of the Acts of 1874, and Section 5 of said Act as
re-enacted with amendments by Chapter 380 of the Acts of
1876, relating to "Oysters," and to add an additional section
thereto.

Pending the consideration of the unfavorable report,

Mr. Sulivane moved to substitute the bill for the unfavora-
ble report.

Which motion was rejected by yeas and nays, as follows :
